During the pandemic when tons of fresh produce were being dumped into landfills, I immediately had my camera in hand. Already researching the food supply chain, I combined my analytical mind with my photographic eye to explore this global issue. Through my Chromatic Remains portfolio, I intended to expose the intrinsic beauty of rotting food scraps. While many of us live in a world of excess, others would be grateful for even a sliver of what we waste. So through my camera lens, I wish not only to share my appreciation for food but also to redefine people’s perspective surrounding food.
