From Yellowstone to the Liberty Bell, my father would always carry a bulky camera along with him on family trips. Right before I had some fun, my father would force me to stand still as he snapped a photo of my annoyed smile. To gain some insight behind my father’s motivation, I signed up for my school’s photography program.
As I messed around, I was fascinated by the camera’s innate ability to freeze motion. But, as I continued to develop my photographic eye, the fleeting moments that I captured on the football field, during family reunions, and inside the studio became far more important than superficial lighting techniques. I realized that photography wasn’t just about saving a digital copy of reality. Through my lens, I guarded the human condition from the inevitable passage of time, preventing lived moments from fading into distant memories. By capturing the excitement or the sorrow that embodied the essence of a shared experience we lived but can never relive, I strived to exhibit my confusion, my passion, and my love for subjects that captivate both my analytical and creative nature.
Winning multiple awards for my fine art work, I also provide editorial and commercial services.
