2020. The year of a controversial Presidential Election. Furthermore, with mass media’s imminent pressure, individuals were no longer judged by their character or their personality; the only thing that mattered was what name went on the ballot. But I never saw the world politically as different shades of red and blue, but rather a blend of purple. The world is not purely black and white, separated by such stark boundaries perpetuated by the ever prevalent us-versus-them dynamic. Completing this examination of the commercialization of our private views, I hoped to convey that these riveting issues, though important, are simply a means to an end: to create a more hospitable and industrious nation that we all call home.
